How We Select our Queens Cats for Breeding
Each of our British Shorthair/Longhair cats used in our breeding program was carefully selected through the Golden Charm Qualifying Process. We look for healthy, robust males and females that will produce the same type of kitten. We also strive for the most social, well-balanced and happy kittens imaginable. A lot of this comes from their parents. Our adults are chosen for their wonderful temperaments and interaction with their humans. Wondering about coat differences? Coco
Breed: British Longhair (BLH)
Color: Black Golden Shaded (NY11)
Eye Color: Green
Introducing Coco, our British Longhair black golden chinchilla (ny12) with bright green eyes and the most unforgettable “Grumby” face in the cattery. She has that signature chinchilla glow, a warm golden base with delicate dark tipping, wrapped in a fluffy longhair coat that makes her look like a luxury pillow with an attitude. Coco is a serious breeding queen, even if her expression says she’s mildly disappointed in everyone. She brings beautiful chinchilla clarity, strong coat quality, and that refined golden look we work hard to keep consistent in our program. Paired thoughtfully, Coco supports kittens with brighter golden tone, clean tipping, and the kind of eye colour and expression that instantly grabs attention, while still keeping the gentle, family-friendly British temperament at the centre of our lines. Now, about her personality: Coco is absolutely convinced she’s the CEO. She’s the most spoiled cat in the house and she knows it. If her food isn’t served on time, she will stare at you like you’ve committed a crime. If her water isn’t fresh enough, she’ll act like she’s being personally disrespected. And if you sit down, she might allow you the privilege of petting her, but only after she’s inspected your effort. The funniest part is that underneath the grumpy look, she’s a total sweetheart, she loves being pampered, she loves her routines, and she secretly enjoys being close to her people, as long as it’s done properly.
Carolina
Gender: Female
Breed: British Shorthair (BSH)
Color: Seal Golden Shaded Point Ny1133
Eye Color: Blue
Carolina, our British Shorthair seal golden shaded point (ny11 33), a rare, high-contrast beauty with a porcelain-light body and a soft golden glow that shows most clearly in warm daylight. Her colour reads clean and bright through the body, closer to ivory with a gentle wash of gold, while her seal points deepen on the mask, ears, legs, and tail, creating that crisp pointed finish people instantly recognise. In our breeding program, Carolina is selected for direction and reliability. She brings the plush British Shorthair coat texture, balanced structure, and the calm, companion-first temperament we protect in every pairing. Her colour genetics support producing kittens with clearer point placement and a brighter body tone, while keeping the shaded golden character that makes this line so special. Carolina’s personality is pure character in the sweetest way. She’s the “quiet supervisor” type, always nearby, watching what’s happening like she’s taking notes. She warms up fast with people she knows, then becomes very affectionate, leaning into cheek rubs, following you from room to room, and giving a soft little reminder meow when she feels you’ve ignored a cuddle appointment. She’s confident, steady, and surprisingly polite, until dinner time, then she suddenly has very important opinions.
