Introducing Hope, our British Shorthair blue golden shell, chinchilla-style (Ay12), a girl who doesn’t just enter a room, she glides in. Her coat looks like warm gold lit from underneath and brushed with the softest cool-blue shimmer. From a distance she reads bright and glowing, up close you notice the delicate tipping that creates that clean, airy “shell” finish that’s so hard to find and even harder to keep consistent in a breeding program. Hope is a refinement queen for us. She helps anchor the direction we aim for in our golden lines: clear undercoat, elegant tipping, and that plush British coat texture that feels dense and velvety to the touch. Paired thoughtfully, she supports kittens with brighter golden tone, cleaner shell expression, and the steady, companion-first temperament we protect in every pairing. Personality wise, Hope is gentle confidence. She’s curious but not chaotic, affectionate but never demanding. She likes to check in on what you’re doing, then settle nearby like she’s your quiet little shadow. When she wants attention, she doesn’t shout, she simply appears beside you, leans in, and gives you that slow blink that feels like a polite request you can’t really say no to. She also has a funny habit of picking the nicest spot in the house, then looking at you like she’s the one who designed it.
The DNA Test Result of Hope
All of our breeding cats are DNA tested through Wisdom Panel™, the world’s most comprehensive cat DNA test that screens for 50+ inherited health conditions and 29+ genetic traits. The results confirm that every cat in our program is clear of major genetic disorders, including PRA-pd, PKD, ALPS, and HCM. They are also tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Each cat also receives annual veterinary health exams to ensure optimal health and responsible breeding standards.
We didn’t detect any known genetic health predispositions in Hope’s DNA.
